Consider this...
The 21st Century will see the "Implosion of the Global Capitalist State." Or... Why I believe we are evolving into a more Spiritual and cooperative economic economy. But! We're going to have to fight to reclaim our Spirituality as global citizens in an elitist economic economy -- today’s industrial complexes/multinational corporations and its governments ain't going to willingly let us extricate ourselves out of a hypnotic socioeconomic state of debt peonage -- slave and cheap labor -- which has evolved for nearly the past 60 + years. One of economist, author, and professor emeritus, U-Mass, Amherst, Richard Wolff's lectures on YouTube, is the “teacher/lecturer” I refer to as being one of several economists I read/listen to the most. I feel that he tells the best stories — historical stories tied to historical global economics. His stories for the most part, are injected with humor. Humor that helps us absorb and compartmentalize historical references — without losing our minds, arming ourselves, and storming this nation's Capitol, "tar and feathering" crony complicit politicians… the consequences of a failed Capitalist State. You can supplant the word capitalist with the word "democracy," here; albeit… that sh** actually happened without the “tar and feathering,” of course.
In closing, let me simply remind you of this statement by former U.S.president, Dwight D. Eisenhower’s farewell warning to American citizens; a warning I might add that other U.S. industries have since replicated and put into procedural policies and practices, that today, is principally the reason, my opinion, why we are, where we are, today... Economically and morally bankrupt, as a nation. (Eisenhower’s presidential term: January 20, 1953 – January 20, 1961).
